October is such a beautiful month! It brings fall weather to the south kwith cooler temperatures and the changing of the leaves. It marks the beginning of the holiday season where families gather and give thanks for the things they cherish such as family and friends. But most importantly, October brought us together! It was once again the great story of the North and South. No, we aren’t talking about past wars but about two people from New York and South Carolina who fell in love! We met through a mutual friend and quickly fell in love not just with each other but with our mutual interests that included travel, going to the mountains, visiting wineries, and hosting family for holiday get-together’s. She introduced me to the finer southern things like her Beautiful Accent, Shrimp and Grits, Southern Mac and Cheese and of course BBQ! In return, I was able to give her all that Buffalo has to offer, Sponge Candy, Peanut doughnuts, Chicken Wings, Bocce Pizza and most importantly, The Bill’s Mafia! Let’s Go Buffalo! Most recently, she got to experience her first Christmas in Buffalo with falling snow and saving the best for last, her first Buffalo Bill’s game live in December. I said to her, “Where else would you rather be than right here, right now!” She also learned to fall in love with German Shephard’s and through some miracle, found it in her heart to allow our dog Maverick to share our house…LOL We are so excited to have our family and friends join us for this celebration as we come together as husband and wife in front of the people we love and cherish. There will be a wonderful mix of southern charm with a strong Yankee presence! Get ready for a good time!

It all started at a bar...like all great love stories do. Thanks to our friend Sissy, we met at Halloween when I was dressed up as a pirate with long dark hair. Since I actually have short blonde hair, he had to do a little adjusting once the wig came off.

That night kicked off 12 amazing years together. We have built a wonderful life together and ready for our next adventure - marriage. We can’t wait to celebrate our big day with our families and friends.
